Two of the original members of cosmic soulestra 1LUV, Cutty Lark is producer Dr.J and singer Amalia Townsend taking their soulful sound lo-fi to raw drum breaks, double shots of brass and block rockin’ bass grooves.

Dr.J is making moves and crossing-over genres, not only did he release future soul anthem BLACK DAYLIGHT on SuntzuSound, he also dropped his first full-length album with his band 1LUV on Sonar Kollektiv and released singles with Yoruba Records, Especial and Do Right! Music.  He has recently worked with a few highly sought-after artists from the international dance scene including Restless Soul frontman Phil Asher, Afronaught from Bugz In The Attic, Sound of Gold curator Jason Lev and Japanese Jazz group Quasimode.

Miss Amalia Townsend is slowly but surely becoming an International Tour de Force. From Tokyo to Stockholm she's brought it all on; her RAW passion, her HAIR, her SCRRREAMZ, her strength of heart to the people. She has collaborated with the likes of Swedish producer Opolopo, UK man-at-large Atjazz, Compost duo Eddy Meets Yannah and has releases on Columbia, JVC Japan, Sonar Kollektiv, Especial and Deeper Soul Recordings.
